Dynamic Web Application
UI/UX Lead
2018 - 2020
Outcomes
- NPS increase of 10 points in 5 months after launch.
- 85% Increase in time to market for content and page updates.
- 30% performance increase.
The project was created to overhaul the full APS.com web experience. The main outcomes of the project were to modernize the tech stack of the online portals by updating UI, API data orchestration, componentized frameworks with CMS integration, SEO optimization and performance increase, responsive design, and migration to the cloud.

The application was built using Sitecore CMS and hosted on Azure Cloud Services. UI components were built using the .NET framework and integrated with Sitecore to enable content authors to easily create new pages, new content areas, and change/update content as needed. A design system was created following atomic design principles to create components and templatized pages were created based off those components. Each component had documented content rules associated with it and specific purposes and intent. This allowed content authors to create new pages and content patterns that followed the design system.
